Kendrick Lamar has an estimated net worth of $20 million.
Kendrick Lamar is an american rapper born on June 17, 1987 in a suburb of California known for gang violence. Kendrick Lamar, under the first stage-name of K-Dot, recorded his first mixtape at the age of 16. At an early age he signs to an independent label, Top Dawg Entertainment. He then released three more mixtapes and changed his name to Kendrick Lamar when recording his first EP.
In 2010, he released the track entitled “Ignorance is Bliss” which attracts the attention of rapper Dr. Dre. Kendrick Lamar is also on the album “Detox” alongside Snoop Dogg.
In 2011, Kendrick Lamar released his critically acclaimed first studio album “Section.80.” His second album, “Good Kid, MAAD City”, released in 2012, is also recognized and ranks number 1 in the Top R&B / Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums and 2nd on the Billboard 200. The album sells more than 1.1 million copies. Several tracks from the albums appear on the soundtrack for the video game “Grand Theft Auto V.”
In March 2015, K. Dot drops To Pimp a Butterfly, still produced by Dr. Dre, in collaboration with Terrace Martin, Thundercat and Pharrell Williams. Features included George Clinton, Snoop Dogg and Bilal. Kendrick Lamar this time holds his first number one album and made a new raid at the Grammy Awards, bringing his total to seven trophies out of twenty nominations, among other awards from the music industry. The album’s demos are released a year later in the form of a compilation titled Untitled Unmastered, which also debuts at number one.
He is currently working on a new album which is speculated to be dropping on April 7th. He just dropped a track called “The Heart Pt. 4,” which has the internet and critics everywhere buzzing.
Kendrick Refuses to endorse any products or businesses, he says he strictly focuses on his music. This limits him in raking in a much larger fortune although his $20 million net worth is nothing to snub at.
