L.A. garage-rockers Wand just released a new album, Golem, back in March. It earned them quite a few comparisons to fellow California-based psychedelic traveler Ty Segall, but it looks like Wand borrowed a bit more than just musical influence from their former tour-mate: In true insanely prolific Segall fashion, they’re already following up Golem with another new album, 1000 Days, which will be out this fall. First single “Stolen Footsteps” swaps out its predecessor’s monstrous guitar riffs for singsong psychedelia, with a fuzzy synth line, tinny beat, and frontman Cory Hanson’s Anglophilic vocals adding up to the perfect soundtrack for a weed-fueled zone-out in a carnival tent. Listen below.
1000 Days is out 9/25 on Drag City.
