La Misma are a New York hardcore band whose take on the genre is hectic, strident, urgent, erratic, and cacophonous. They’ve been making some noise lately on the DIY warehouse circuit, but their new album Kanizadi still arrives as a sudden and welcome surprise. It’s a quick jolt of intensity. And while you may not be able to understand frontwoman Nay Vieira-Rosario, who rips through her lyrics in Portuguese, you can still revel in the feverish force she uses to deliver them. This album is just fun as hell, and you can hear the whole thing below.
Kanizadi is out 9/10 on La Vida Es Un Mus Discos, but you can get it digitally (for £1!) from Bandcamp right now.
