Puff Daddy & The Family – “Finna Get Loose” (Feat. Pharrell)

At last night’s BET Awards, Diddy got much of the late-’90s Bad Boy Records roster back together and led them through a joyously nostalgic medley. The whole thing was just a blast: Mase! 112! The Lox! Faith Evans! Mario Winans! Lil Kim emerging through an onstage trap door immediately after Puffy fell on his ass straight through that same trap door! The medley also included one brand-new song: A jittery, funky-as-all-hell Pharrell collab called “Finna Get Loose.” The song hit iTunes today, and it recalls the laser-guided jerkiness of previous Diddy/Neptunes collabs like “Pass The Courvoisier” and “DIDDY.” It also has Puff rapping in this weird new preacher-boom cadence, and it’s awesomely credited to Puff Daddy & The Family. I really like it. Listen below.
