Part Time – “Real Connection” (First Listen)

Back in April, Part Time’s David Speck (sometimes known as David Loca) dropped the loopy “Fallin’ 4 U” in advance of a supposedly forthcoming record called Virgo’s Maze. Now we know it’s a double album officially due out 6/16, and to prep for it, Speck has shared another track: “Real Connection,” a twinkly slice of lo-fi gauze just in time for summer. Like the rest of the tunes on Virgo’s Maze, Speck recorded the romantic “Real Connection” via some hodgepodge of tape machines, reel-to-reels, and USB mixers. It sounds like a heady dream of sun-soaked aching, but c’mon, you probably guessed that already. Listen below.

Virgo’s Maze is out 6/16 on Burger. Pre-order it here.
