Jim James – “Sleepyhouse” (Blind Melon Cover)

Last month, director and band photographer Danny Clinch launched a Kickstarter to raise funds for a documentary about Blind Melon’s late frontman Shannon Hoon, which will be made up of home-video footage that Hoon shot during the band’s rise to fame. They’re five days away from the end of their campaign and still have quite a bit to go, so they’re ramping up the promotion with some exclusive content. One such piece of content is a cover from My Morning Jacket’s Jim James of the band’s 1992 track “Sleepyhouse.” Listen to it below.

And here’s Seth Avett’s cover of “St. Andrew’s Fall”:

The Kickstarter runs until next Tuesday.
