Backstage at the Pitchfork Music Festival a couple of weeks ago, the Talkhouse’s Elia Einhorn was snagging as many podcast interviews with musicians as he could. We’ve already posted the conversation between HAIM and Chvrches’ Lauren Mayberry that he recorded. And he also recorded one with Chicago rapper Vic Mensa and Future Islands frontman (and occasional rapper) Samuel T. Herring, two guys who were all over the backstage area all weekend. The two don’t have a long friendship or anything, but they’ve got an easy rapport. I’m just listening to it right now, and it opens with a long discussion about their respective shoplifting histories. Listen below.
Well, that was delightful!
