Futurebirds – “Hotel Parties”

Futurebirds are an Athens, Georgia-based band who have distilled all the best parts of Southern rock into their own slow-burning, glimmering sound. Hotel Parties is the follow-up to their 2013 sophomore album Baba Yaga, and their debut, 2010’s Hampton’s Lullaby. Earlier this summer we premiered one of Hotel Parties’ initial songs, the moody, gleaming “twentyseven,” and today they’ve shared the title track via Paste. It’s a meditation on life on the road and the liminal space between performing onstage and trying to relax back into every day existence afterward. Listen.

Hotel Parties is out 9/25 on Easy Sound Recording Co. Pre-order it here.
