Damien Rice – “Hypnosis”

Damien Rice returned to us last year after an eight-year hiatus to release My Favourite Faded Fantasy, and though he’s still touring behind that record, he found the time to contribute two more original songs to The Prophet soundtrack. Originally a collection of essays by Lebanese author Kahlil Gibran published in 1923, The Prophet has been transformed into a children’s movie produced by Salma Hayek-Pinault. Today Rice has shared “Hypnosis,” an uplifting, brass-heavy track boosted by his signature scratchy, light voice. Listen.

The Prophet soundtrack will be out 7/31 via Warner Bros.
