It’s pretty rare that a “mainstage” type of track catches my attention. With newer genres like future and bass house taking a front seat in on the “whats cool in EDM” train, the more classical genres are sometimes left in the dust.
…Until a refreshing house track like Chuckie and Bobby Puma’s “Mainstage” comes along. “Mainstage” is being described as “a classic festival anthem,” and I can’t really argue with that statement. The track has a progressive build up, heavy electro elements, and vocal chops that mimic your favorite MC. The track aims to showcase the evolution of dance floor anthems on a suitably grand scale.
This track also signifies a new chapter in Chuckie’s life and career. The once hardcore partier has taken a step back from that lifestyle to become a dedicated father of two. This new chapter has also prompted a shift in Chuckie’s sound. It inspired him to take chances at working with more inexperienced producers, as well as having the forward thinking attitude to create different types of music without being held back by genre limitations.
We welcome Chuckie’s new found inspiration, and are excited to see what other tracks come from this transformation!
